So as I said, I went as Horo to Ohayocon. I've been chewing this over for a couple days now
I got alot of good responses on my cosplay- which i will be using from now on. How ever, like everyone else has been saying, staff wasn't too nice. You'd think if someone came to you asking for medical attention you'd help someone rather than leading them in giant circles. >.> As a plus side, a janitor lady who actually worked at the Hyatt went out of her way to assist me. She's my hero now ^.^
There was so many cosplays I've never seen before! Like all the Homestruck people...I don't know why they just annoyed me, and a lot of them were rude towards me :/
I think the ponies were hilarious xD! Who'da thunk it!? I woulda never imagined so many teen/college students would like ponies! *remembering 90's childhood*
Anyway, I went 2 days- friday and Saturday. Friday was like.....yeah. It was friday enough said lol. Saturday was crazy busy! I'd never seen so many people before!
The artist alley and the vendors were wonderful! I loved all the steampunk/Lolita stuff they had! I would have so gotten Lolita stuff but I was insistant upon having a bustle for my steampunk cosplay. x} And I found one........It makes me so happy because its perfect. On top of that, I got 2 tails for my Horo costume. The first one I got is a little sketchy- it feels like it's kinda falling apart. But my second one is PERFECT. X} I found the biggest, orangest, fluffiest, real fox tail I could possibly find. My boyfriend got some engineer tools for his steampunk cosplay- he's enjoying his new lock pick kit and his victorian tools. I'm so glad to have made him happy.
Sadly I cannot say I have many good memories of this year's con....I had planned to hang out with some of my friends who were going also, but a lot of them ditched me....which ruined it for me a lot. I had planned to hang out with 3 different people who'd promise to hang out with me but didn't. So I think I'm going with just my boyfriend from now on.
